Silica is a hard abrasion resistant and chemically inert mineral and ideal for use in custom epoxy floors. They are available in 3 textures which include non skid orange peel and smooth. It can really take a pounding and keep it s good looks. Color quartz floors are durable and attractive seamless flooring systems that incorporate colored quartz aggregate in a tough epoxy matrix.

Epoxy quartz or quartz broadcast floors are a decorative resin floor consisting of layers or resin and multi colored quartz sand. They can be made to look more attractive by using colored sands and a clear topcoat instead of aluminum oxide or regular sands for serious commercial applications this is the primary epoxy floor system to consider. Allow to cure 6 8 hours typically overnight. Color quartz floors are great for repairing restoration or new construction.

Variety of slip resistance and high performance topcoats available. Choice of custom color blends. High density silica is the preferred mineral to enhance the properties of seamless flooring. Be sure to leave a wet edge to roll the next batch up against.

Seamless epoxy quartz floors are the high end toughest and most durable of all floors. Clear color stable epoxy and angular multi colored quartz are blended into a mortar and trowel applied at a typical thickness of 3 16 to 1 4 4 8 mm to 6 0 mm or greater. Tennant quartz tq troweled quartz is a five layer nominal 3 16 system that uses a high solids epoxy mixed with colored quartz aggregate which is troweled applied. The incorporation of durable fine aggregate into the matrix during mixing significantly increases the liquid resin volume during application without sacrificing physical properties and ultimately extend the coatings service life.

These high build coatings created with 100 solids epoxy and quartz offer excellent impact resistance.
